Significance of Prayer (Salah) Time

In this modern age of life everyone is bussy in their routine, everyone gives importance to money and facilities of life. No one is aware about the next age, but Perayer is a way to create aconnection between a human and creator. When a man stands for Prayer he actually cutoff with the world and tries to get the affection of God. So Prayer time is also impotant as prayer in Islam. On the Day of Resurrection, prayer is the first thing that will be accounted for.

Prayer is the Second Pillar of Islam

As we all know there are five pillars of Islam which are Believe on one God, Prayer, Fast, Hajj and Zakat. And Prayer is the second most important pillar of Islam out of these five. These all five pillar are important in Islam but after believing on one God(Toheed) it is compulsory for all Muslims to say Prayer on exact times. Five time Prayers are obligatory on all Muslims which are (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Mughrib, Isha).

Importance of Prayer time in Quran and Hadith

There are many Verses and Hadith in the importance of prayer and its time, Here are some of them

“Abdullah asked the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) “Which deed is the dearest to Allah?” He replied, “To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 527).

As Narrated by Ibn Umar, Allah’s Messenger said: “The beginning of the time for Salah is pleasing to Allah, and the end of its time is pardoned by Allah.” (Jami at-Tirmidhi 172)

 “Surely the Salah at fixed hours (of the day and night) has been enjoined upon the believers.” (Quran 4:103).

 “Verily, Salah restrains (oneself) from shameful and unjust deeds…” (Quran 29:45).

Defined Prayer Times in Islam

 Islam is the second largest religion after Christianity in the world but its followers are living in everywhere. So in Islam all principles are defined clearly including Prayer(Salah) times of all Prayers. There are specifec times of all prayers Fajr in the Dawn time, Dhuhr in the noon, Asr in the afternoo, Mughrib in the evening and Isha in the Night time. Saying Prayer in the early times is preferred in Islam it gives more reward. In the ancient times people follows the position of sun for Salat time but in these day it is more easy after the invention of clock and lotoff other facilities.

As we all know Muslim population is everywhere in this world and sun position is different in the same time on different places. And also in the same place sun set and sun rise time changes everyday. This is why, Prayer time table also changes everyday with the position of sun.

Divine of the Day in Five Prayers

Whole day is divided in five prayers (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Mughrib, Isha) and their specific times are also defined in Quran and speeches of Prophet (Hadith). Saying prayer on their exact times is the best practice in Islam with maximum reward. Allah has divided whole day in best pattern and the whole night is for rest.

There are too much impacts of prayer on our life Social, Physical and Spirtual also much more. With the habit of five time prayers a man always get the pleasure of God. Prayer creates a direct relation between an individual and creator. And also prayer makes a man strong physically because it is also a way of exercise. When people gather in Mosque is a chance to meet with each other.

Prayer is Obligatory for all Muslims

Yes Prayer is obligatory for all the Muslims Men and Women but after teen age. In Islam, all the responsibilities and restrictions starts after teen age for an individual. Islam is a religion of ease, it gives free hands to his followers. Praying on its exact times is very good but Islam gives permission to say prayer at any time just for ease.


There is no doubt that Praying after prime time is also acceptable but on exact time is more valuable and more reward. So in this modern age of life awareness of exact prayer time is not difficult because every thing is calculated and we can check everyday with the help of internet and other digital accessories. So always try to to perform Salah at prime times.
