Importance Of Prayer (Salah) According to Hadith’s

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

 “I made it fard for your ummah to perform five daily prayers. And I made a promise to myself: If someone comes to me by paying attention to performing five daily prayers, I will send him to Paradise. I have nothing to say for the one who does pay attention to prayers.” (Abu Dawud)

Reported from Hz. Ibn Abbas (r.a.):

“When a person who abandons prayers reaches Allah, he will see that Allah will have inflicted His wrath on him.” (Bazzar, Tabarani, Majma’uz Zawaid)

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“Whoever attends Isha (prayer) in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) stood half of the night. And whoever prays Isha and Fajr in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) spend the entire night standing (in prayer).” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 221)

Reported from Abu Hurayra radiyallahu anh:

While the Messenger of Allah was passing by a grave, he asked, “Whose grave is it?” The Companions said, “It is the grave of such and such person.” The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “For this person in the grave, to perform a prayer of two-rak’ahs is better than all of your worldly goods.” (Tabarani, Majma’uz Zawaid)

Behold! We gave the site, to Abraham, of the (Sacred) House, (saying): “Associate not anything (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or stand up, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).[22:26]

Here Quran describes believer:

“Muhammad-the messenger of God, and those with him are harsh and stern against the disbelievers, but kind and compassionate amongst themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating, as they seek God’s blessings and approval.” [48:29]
